Mr. McPheeters is a Trial Lawyer whose practice focuses on defending people who have been sued. He has been lead trial counsel in medical malpractice, automobile and homeowner liability cases, and has appellate experience in both state and federal courts of appeals. He has also represented plaintiffs at trial, including the case of Call v. Heard, which led to a judgment of $19 Million dollars in favor of a mother and daughter who lost three members of their family to a drunken driver.  Every case is different, and the result in that case is no guarantee that any other case would have the same or similar outcome. A native of Chicago, McPheeters had a previous career as a radio and television news reporter. His award-winning career lasted almost fifteen years in the Hannibal, Missouri and Quincy, Illinois area. He came to Jefferson City in 1993 and is active in the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce, the Leadership 2000 Charitable Foundation (President), and the Mid-Missouri St. Andrew's Society (Secretary).  Mr. McPheeters is a frequent speaker on the topics of nursing malpractice, medical record keeping and the law of evidence.
